Before Smoke Learns Our Names
The story in the painting
An ancestral hand remains on limestone as smoke gathers at its edge. BAETEE dedicates this work to India's daughters who preserve memory, language and art before fragile histories disappear.
A tribute to the daughters of India, whose courage, care and imagination have shaped lives at home and across the world.
